September 11, 2001 is a deep festering wound in the soul of the country that has also caused mental damage. 9/11 released a genie from the bottle that turned the world, and America in particular, against the ideal of freedom. Since 9/11, a significant portion of Americans have become very receptive to conspiracy theories, including Trump himself. Trump also believes that 9/11 was a kind of suicide bombing to provide an excuse to attack Afghanistan!
